We had a lovely surprise at the end of May, Small Business Britain contacted us to participate in a press release about our net-zero pledge, we gave our quote
“Our business is only too aware of the devastating effects of climate change, as we import green coffee from Central America where communities are directly affected. We definitely want to commit to net zero by 2050. We don’t know exactly how we will get there, but we are currently making progress across things like the way we import goods, through to the energy suppliers we use when working from home.”
The article went out nation-wide to 150 online news outlets the closest to us being the Northern Echo. Thankfully we have some new pictures to send this time and the picture of Elle and Wilmer in front of the van is well and truly retired!
We had lots of fun filming and photo shooting for the Northumberland shop local campaign which was released this month. Even better we got to be the face of the campaign and featured in several newspapers and online news outlets.
But what's really important is the message and it's important for us all to continue to support our local independent shops, who bring more variety, better service and personalisation to your services and products and keep the your local economy going. You can watch the fantastic video campaign HERE and get more information HERE
In the spirit of the reopening and support of business we are happy to say we now supply our specialty and sustainable coffee to super friendly Reginaldos Coffee Bar at Percy wood, taco extraordinaire Chucho's Mexican Restaurant in Newcastle and the most beautiful and luxurious cottages Brinkburn Northumberland. We've had reports of some lovely feedback from their customers and hope to continue to serve their coffee needs for a long time!
And lastly.....co founder Elle celebrates a big birthday this month so we want to wish her a happy happy 40th!!
Life begins....
