Farmer Jose, the son of a coffee farmer from El Pinar, Guarita in Lempira, began his agricultural journey early due to limited access to formal schooling in his region. After learning about basic grains and coffee cultivation, he moved to land his father gave him in Quebrada Honda, where he switched from growing beans and corn to planting coffee. His success allowed him to purchase the land from his father. Building on this, he expanded his coffee cultivation, eventually buying a larger plot in El Zarzal, where he grew multiple coffee varieties, including the Microlot Puma. Jose has been working with the exporter for about 10 years. He married Irma at 18, and they have 9 children
His microlot beans provide us with out Our Puma coffee. Puma has wonderful caramel and fruity notes that make it a fantastic tasting coffee that can be enjoyed all day. Medium bodied and smooth, it is a very well balanced coffee.
